Sick and tired of your never-ending to do list? Get things done once and for all!

People often say don’t sweat the small stuff.  I agree 😬.  However, this is easier said than done.  Unfortunately, life does have to-do lists.  Working moms can’t really function without them for the most part.  We admit that even though we may not like them, we have them and need them.

Now what do we do about them?

How do we eliminate them as a source of unhappiness for ourselves?

Here are my top solutions for you:

1.    We focus on our mindset.

Mindset and beliefs require repetition and effort.

Practicing a belief, feeling the feeling behind it, until it becomes true to us.

We can work on our belief that we trust in ourselves.

We trust we will get the crap on the to-do list done.

We have done hard things and continue to do them.

So we can handle a measly to-do list.

We have the power.  Not the list.

The list serves to help us, not cause us extra stress.

2.    Set aside time twice monthly (So that you can return online orders in a timely fashion)

If you have 2-4 hours each month set to take care of chores, you know they’ll get done.

This eliminates expending further brain space and energy on them.  Out of sight and out of mind until the designated time comes.

3.    Chores and errands deplete your joy?

Outsource:

         Taskrabbit for chores

Hire someone to come once or twice a month to take care of

nagging to dos-problem easily solved

4.    Let some of the to-do’s go

What absolutely doesn’t need to be done?

What could you eliminate without doing at all?

Example: With child #1, I had high hopes of making a “firsts”

album.  I had it on my to-do list for a while.  It never got done.  I surrendered to the fact that this is not my thing.  Albums, pictures, memory books and that’s okay.  Frankly, they’re not a part of my priority list.  Making memories and enjoying time with loved ones is way more important for me.

My suggestion to you is to evaluate peripheral to-do’s and see if they align with your values; meaning, is that how you want to spend your time?  If it is something you can let go of, say goodbye!

Try some of these options and see how they work for you!

This should help unload your burden and make you feel lighter and brighter.
